Slick Stabilizer Gimbal – Your Smart GoPro Steadycam

Slick Stabilizer Gimbal is an innovative action camera stabilizer, compatible with GoPro, that lets you capture smooth videos hands-free. Slick Stabilizer Gimbal is a 3-axes GoPro Steadycam that helps you capture silky smooth videos handsfree due to it`s universal GoPro mount so it can be attached anywhere a GoPro camera can be mounted.

It is the world’s first waterproof gimbal that has 3 embedded waterproof motors, something great not only for a water sports enthusiast but also the everyday user, because you don’t have to worry about shooting in the rain and ruining your expensive gear!

Slick has several high sensitivity sensors: 3 gyroscopes, 3-axes accelerometer and a magnetometer. The stabilization kicks in as soon as you press the Power button so you are ready for action in no time.

The rechargeable battery fits well with the overall design and should give you 2 hours of shooting time. Changing the battery is easy even with gloves due to Slick quick release system.

The battery has a check button on it allowing you to see if you have enough juice to continue, a good feature that allows you to check the battery level without connecting the battery to the device.

Slick Stabilizer Gimbal Specifications:

• Battery life: Up to 2h ; 2-second battery swap system
• Compatibility: From GoPro 3, 3+, 4 and 4 Session. Since the GoPro 4 Session is smaller, a balanced case (white part) is provided to shoot with your GoPro Session.
• Waterproof: Snow & rain friendly. The gimbal is waterproof up to 3 ft, so don`t take it with you for a diving session!

Slick Modes

Slick will come with two different shooting modes. The  “Fix Mode” will allow you to set up and fix the yaw axis that will stay in the same direction as when you turn the device on. In other words, the yaw will be on “lock”. The other is “Follow Mode”, the yaw arm is following the movement of the head, for example when you look left or right, the GoPro will follow you.

Compatibility

Slick will be compatible with all your GoPro mounts so it`s easy to start recording right out of the box. Since it adds some weight to the camera make sure your adhesive mounts are firmly attached and we suggest adding a tether line in case you put the camera in rough conditions, so you don’t lose it if the mount can`t handle the extra weight. Right now the weight of Slick is 350g (0.77lbs) but the final weight might change a bit.

EDIT: As for August 2017 the gimbal is not yet ready, but the last update on Indiegogo is promising and although there is a lot of complaints looks like the product will be shipping soon.
