GoPro Hero5 – What`s NEW?
The wait is finally over! GoPro Hero5 is out and in stores – let`s see what cool new features this long awaited camera brings.
In September 2014 GoPro launched Hero4 Black and Hero4 Silver that came with awesome 2x the Performance of the Previous Black Edition GoPro, featuring 4K30, 2.7K50 and Ultra High Speed 1080p120 Frames per Second Video Capture and Built-in Touch Display for Hero4 Silver. GoPro also introduced the HERO – The perfect entry-level GoPro that only costs around 130 USD that made it affordable but still delivered the GoPro quality we all expect.
Today, GoPro unveiled the new lineup with some very exciting and completely NEW products: Meet GoPro Hero5! The team here at GoProEssentials.com are very excited to try out the new beast!
HERO5 Black is the most powerful and easy to use GoPro ever, thanks to its 4K video, voice control, one-button simplicity, touch display and waterproof design that sells around €429.99
This beast packs a punch! You get 30fps 4K video which now is practically a standard when it comes to decent action cameras. If you are after those ultra slow motion clips then GoPro has you covered. At 1080p you can get up to 120fps and at 720p you can get as high as 240fpm.
The Hero 5 Black shoots 12-megapixel photos, comes with a 2-inch LCD touchscreen has built-in GPS and can capture RAW photos and Wide Dynamic Range video. This is something all hardcore GoPro users have been waiting for a long time now.
The new Hero5 now also features a built-in waterproof housing that can endure pressure up to 10 m without needing an external casing and the touchscreen at the back is now as big as 2 inches. The interface got more rugged by featuring only one single button.
For hands-free control you can now give your GoPro voice commands like “GoPro take a picture” It`s still to be tested to see if that really works in real life noisy situations, but as a feature it looks promising. No need to connect your smartphone or spend your dollars on a remote control.
Editing now becomes more streamlined since you can auto upload your footage to cloud while charging your GoPro.
Other new features include Location Capture, Video Stabilization and Advanced Wind Noise Reduction.
